Furthermore, Tinubu stressed that insecurity remains a major obstacle to economic growth and requires urgent, collective action at all levels of government.

He commended the governors of Borno, Katsina and Kaduna states for their efforts in defending lives, liberty and national stability.

Meanwhile, the President welcomed governors, ministers, lawmakers, development partners and private sector leaders to the two-day conference.

He described the gathering as a reflection of shared commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable national development.

Additionally, Tinubu praised the National Economic Council, chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, for sustaining effective policy coordination.

Highlighting economic reforms, the President said recent measures have stabilised the economy and restored confidence globally.

He also commended the Central Bank of Nigeria, under Governor Yemi Cardoso, for strengthening Nigeria’s monetary policy credibility.

Consequently, Tinubu said state and local governments now receive higher and more predictable federal allocations.

He added that infrastructure investments in transport, power, housing, digital connectivity and irrigation remain key priorities.

Finally, the President expressed confidence that outcomes from the NEC Conference will drive agricultural diversification and long-term economic growth.
