The Federal Government has approved the sum of N6 billion for the construction of three modern mega schools in Gombe State.

The projects, which will be executed by the North East Development Commission (NEDC), will be sited in Dadin Kowa, Dukku, and Kaltungo communities.

Minister of Regional Development, Alhaji Uba Ahmadu, disclosed that the initiative is part of efforts to expand access to quality education in the North-East. He explained that the schools will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including hostels, ICT laboratories, and standard libraries to enhance teaching and learning.

Ahmadu also commended the Gombe State Government for its partnership and support in facilitating the projects.

Mega schools across Northern Nigeria are designed to provide secure and well-equipped learning environments for large student populations, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs) and orphaned children, helping to improve educational outcomes in the region.
