Bauchi Marks 50th Anniversary with High-Profile Public Lecture

Bauchi State hosted a high-profile public lecture as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, attracting dignitaries from Nigeria and abroad.

The event drew Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, former Bauchi governors, EU Ambassador to Nigeria Gautier Mignot, other diplomats, traditional rulers, and senior government officials.

During the lecture, discussions focused on Bauchi’s history, cultural heritage, natural resources, and achievements over the past five decades.

Ambassador Mignot praised the state’s visible development and expressed optimism for stronger partnerships to ensure sustainable progress for its residents.
