The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has issued a stern warning to criminal elements across the country, declaring that the Nigerian Army will intensify its operations until all threats to national peace and security are neutralised.
Shaibu gave the warning during the graduation ceremony of Exercise Restore Hope 9 held at the Nigerian Army Base Camp in Kachia, Kaduna State.
He disclosed that over 1,000 specially trained troops have been deployed to various operational theatres across the country to strengthen ongoing internal security operations.

According to the Army Chief, the deployment is part of a renewed operational strategy to enhance counterterrorism, anti-banditry and anti-kidnapping operations nationwide.
“Criminals disturbing the peace of this country should be warned. They will meet the full force of the Nigerian Army until they abandon their criminal activities and embrace peace,” Shaibu said.
He emphasized that the newly inducted special forces have undergone rigorous training under Exercise Restore Hope 9 to improve combat readiness, intelligence-driven operations and rapid response capability.
The COAS added that the Nigerian Army remains committed to protecting lives and property and will continue to collaborate with other security agencies to restore stability in troubled areas.
He commended the troops for their resilience and professionalism, assuring Nigerians that the military leadership is determined to sustain pressure on criminal networks operating across the country.
