According to Cuppy, a past dating experience influenced her decision after she felt a former partner was more interested in meeting her father, billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, than building a relationship with her.

“I can never marry a Nigerian. It’s impossible. The last one I dated was asking me when he could meet my dad. I didn’t even think they liked me,” she said. (Gistlover)

She added that her father was not concerned about who she chose to marry, but only wanted her to find happiness and settle down.

“My dad doesn’t even care who I marry; he just wants me to get married,” Cuppy said. (Gistlover)

The entertainer also expressed happiness over her sister, Temi Otedola’s relationship with singer Mr Eazi, describing their union as an example of a relationship built on genuine connection. (Daily Trust)
