The Federal Government has launched the OVP-GenU Secretariat to drive youth development programmes nationwide.
Vice President Kashim Shettima said the initiative will accelerate programme implementation.
The secretariat will coordinate activities under the Generation Unlimited (GenU) Nigeria initiative.
GenU is led by UNICEF as a public-private-youth partnership.
The programme aims to connect 20 million Nigerian youths to education, skills and jobs by 2030.

The launch event was held in Abuja and represented by Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia.
Officials said the secretariat will improve coordination among government agencies and partners.
Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Abubakar Atiku Bagudu said the programme aligns with national development goals.
He noted its connection with the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme.
Minister of State for Education Suwaiba Sa’idu Ahmad pledged support for skills development integration.
She said outputs from the initiative will inform vocational training policies.
UNICEF Representative Wafaa Saeed Abdelatef praised Nigeria’s commitment to youth empowerment.
Officials said the initiative will help tackle unemployment through skills acquisition.
The government called for stakeholder collaboration to ensure effective implementation.
