President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies in the Federal Civil Service, in a move aimed at strengthening leadership and enhancing service delivery across ministries and agencies.
The new appointees are:
- Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi – Federal Capital Territory
- Ezemama John Chidiebere – Imo State
- Garba Abdul Sule Usman – North Central Geo-Political Zone
- Mohammed Musa Ishiyaku – North East Geo-Political Zone
- Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu – South East Geo-Political Zone
According to a statement issued on Monday by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations, the appointments followed a rigorous and transparent selection process conducted in line with President Tinubu’s commitment to meritocracy and excellence in the Civil Service.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, congratulated the new Permanent Secretaries and commended the President for his continued dedication to transparency and professionalism in governance.
“These appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to building a competent, accountable, and performance-driven Civil Service that delivers quality services to Nigerians,” she said.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are expected to bring their vast experience and technical expertise to support the implementation of the government’s development agenda and further drive reforms within the public service.
