Tax Reforms Committee Commends CAC on Reform Initiatives

The reform initiatives of the Corporate Affairs Commission have been described as vital to Nigeria’s economic growth.

The commendation came from the Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, Taiwo Oyedele, in Abuja.

Oyedele spoke at a dinner organised to mark the 35th anniversary of the Corporate Affairs Commission.

He praised the commission for registering 3,500 small businesses free of charge across the country.

According to him, the initiative aligns with the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at supporting small enterprises.

Earlier, the Registrar-General of the commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, highlighted achievements recorded in the last three years.

Magaji commended staff of the commission for their dedication and sacrifices toward improving service delivery nationwide.

He described the workforce as the heartbeat of the Corporate Affairs Commission and drivers of its reform agenda.

The event featured goodwill messages from former board chairman Ropo Adesanya and presentation of staff awards.

It also included recognition of innovative workers and the cutting of the anniversary cake.
