The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has dismissed reports claiming that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has been postponed.

In a brief statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday, April 4, the board described the circulating notice as a “malicious press release” and urged the public to disregard it.

JAMB clarified that all arrangements for the 2026 UTME remain intact, stressing that there has been no change to the examination schedule. The board had earlier announced that the main UTME will take place from Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The clarification comes after the conduct of the 2026 mock UTME on March 28, which experienced technical issues in some Computer Based Test (CBT) centers across the country.

JAMB advised candidates and the general public to rely only on official communication channels for accurate updates regarding the examination.
