Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi, has approved the appointment of 82 new aides, comprising 16 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and 66 Special Assistants (SAs), to strengthen governance and service delivery across the state.
The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State (SSG), Malam Bala Ibrahim, and made available to journalists on Monday.
According to the statement, the appointments were made based on merit, competence and personal integrity, in line with the administration’s commitment to effective governance.

Those appointed as Senior Special Assistants include Abdullahi Suleman Buji (Stakeholders Engagement), Abba Abdullahi Gobari (Citizen Engagement), Sale Ahmed Zauma (Youth Mobilisation, Gumel Emirate), Jamilu Ibrahim (Education Monitoring, Kazaure Emirate), Sani Haruna (National Assembly Matters), Isah Adamu Matara (Local Government Affairs), Muhammed Dauda Kirikasamma (Election Matters), Nasiru Ahmed Kiyawa (Education Monitoring), Husaaini Umar BK (Education Monitoring, Dutse Emirate), Muhammed Saminu Yahaya (Industrial Relations), Kais Malam Madori (Stakeholders Engagement), Yusuf Magaji BK (Nutrition), Isah Usman BK (Agric Monitoring), Usman Yau Dutse (Labour Matters), Adamu Isyaku Abba (Youth Mobilisation, Hadejia Emirate), and Abdullahi Menda Menda (Stakeholders Engagement).
The 66 Special Assistants were appointed across critical sectors including basic and higher education, health, agriculture, youth mobilisation, citizen engagement, stakeholders engagement, project monitoring, rural development, trade and investment, salary and pension administration, and strategy.
The SSG expressed confidence that the appointees would justify the trust placed in them and contribute meaningfully to the development of Jigawa State.
“While congratulating the appointees, the government urges them to work diligently for the effective implementation of the policies and programmes of the present administration,” the statement said.
All appointments, the SSG added, take immediate effect.
