Femi Otedola Donates ₦4 Billion for Faculty Expansion

Business mogul and philanthropist, Mr. Femi Otedola, has donated ₦4 billion to Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos State, for the construction of a new Electrical and Electronics Engineering block.

The project marks the second phase of the Dame Doja Otedola Faculty of Engineering, named in honour of his late mother. The new facility aims to strengthen the university’s engineering programme and provide state-of-the-art learning infrastructure for students.

Announcing the donation as Chancellor of Augustine University, Otedola described the gesture as a tribute to his mother and a reflection of his belief in the power of education to transform lives.

“Nigeria’s future depends on the brilliance of its young people, and we must continue to invest in the institutions that shape them,” he said.

The donation underscores Otedola’s continued support for education and youth empowerment, following several philanthropic interventions in schools, healthcare, and social development across Nigeria.
