The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says the recent decision of the Court of Appeal of Nigeria does not affect the current leadership structure of the party.
According to the party, the Court of Appeal did not rule on the core leadership dispute.
The ADC said the substantive case challenging the party leadership is still pending before the Federal High Court and has not yet been heard or determined.

The party further clarified that the appellate court did not grant any relief in favour of the plaintiff.
Instead, the court directed all parties to maintain the status quo, meaning the existing leadership structure should remain unchanged until the Federal High Court determines the main case.
In the statement signed by Bolaji Abdullahi, the party urged members not to be misled by what it described as misinterpretations of the ruling.
The party also maintained that it remains united and focused despite what it described as attempts by anti-democratic forces to undermine its structure.
