Atiku Condemns Ngoshe Attack in Borno

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has condemned the attack on a military base and an internally displaced persons camp in Ngoshe, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The attack, carried out by suspected terrorists, reportedly led to the abduction of more than 100 residents.

Atiku described the incident as deeply troubling.

He said the continued attacks on communities and security locations highlight the worsening security situation in the country.

According to him, repeated incidents of violence have become so widespread that both government and society appear to be growing numb to the loss of lives.

The former presidential candidate also criticised what he described as the Federal Government’s response to the attack.

He said the authorities must demonstrate greater urgency in tackling terrorism and protecting citizens.

Atiku warned that insecurity could worsen if decisive steps are not taken to strengthen national security.

He expressed sympathy to families who lost loved ones and communities affected by the attack.

The former vice president said the safety of civilians and security personnel must remain a top priority for any government.

He urged stronger efforts to address the growing threat of terrorism and restore public confidence in the country’s security framework.
