Zulum Says APC Will Win All Elective Positions in 2027

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress will win all elective positions in Nigeria in the 2027 elections.

Zulum made the declaration while witnessing the APC State Congress in Maiduguri.

The congress produced a new state executive committee for the party.

The event was held at the defunct Kashim Ibrahim College of Education Maiduguri.

A total of 1,560 delegates attended the congress.

The exercise produced 38 executive committee members by consensus.

They will lead the party’s affairs in the state for the next four years.

Zulum described the APC as the “workhorse” of Nigerian politics.

He said the party remains well positioned to win elections in Borno and across the country.

The governor said the consensus process reflected unity within the APC in the state.

He added that Borno remains one of the most united APC chapters nationwide.

Zulum also acknowledged the role of Kashim Shettima in strengthening the party structure in the state.

He congratulated the newly elected executives and pledged government support.

The governor assured that former party officials would remain relevant within the APC structure.

He said they would be integrated as ex-officio members and given additional responsibilities.

APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, said the consensus arrangement followed consultations among stakeholders.

The newly elected state chairman, Bello Ayuba, thanked party leaders for their support.

He pledged to lead the party with accountability and transparency.

The congress was attended by former Borno governor Ali Modu Sheriff and several party leaders.

Also present were Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Mohammed Ali Ndume, lawmakers, commissioners, and party stakeholders.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission also monitored the congress.
