UN Condemns Attacks on Civilians, Reaffirms Rules of War

The United Nations has reiterated that even in times of war, there are rules that must be respected, particularly the protection of civilians.

In a strongly worded statement, the UN emphasised that attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure violates international humanitarian law.

The global body stressed that civilians must never be treated as targets under any circumstances.
