Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Thursday visited Kirchinga community in Madagali Local Government Area following a recent attack by Boko Haram insurgents that left residents shaken.

The Governor, accompanied by top government officials and security operatives, toured affected areas and met with families impacted by the assault. He expressed deep sympathy to the victims and assured them of the state government’s full support during this difficult period.

Describing the attack as “cowardly and unacceptable,” Fintiri strongly condemned the actions of the insurgents and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security across Adamawa State.

He directed relevant government agencies to immediately distribute relief materials to affected households and carry out a comprehensive assessment of the damage. According to him, the assessment will guide the state’s intervention and recovery efforts to ensure that victims receive the necessary assistance.

Residents of Kirchinga commended the Governor for his prompt visit, noting that his presence had boosted morale and reassured the community that they were not alone in the face of ongoing security challenges.

Madagali, located in the northern part of Adamawa State, remains one of the frontline local government areas grappling with insurgent activities due to its proximity to conflict-affected zones in the North-East. Authorities say efforts are ongoing to enhance security presence and prevent further attacks in the area.
