UK Deploys Warship, Helicopters to Eastern Mediterranean

The Royal Navy has deployed a Type-45 destroyer to the Eastern Mediterranean as tensions persist in the Middle East.

The warship HMS Dragon will operate alongside allied forces in the region.

British authorities said the deployment aims to strengthen regional security and deterrence.

The United Kingdom is also sending two AgustaWestland AW159 Wildcat helicopters to Cyprus.

The aircraft will support drone defence efforts for Cypriot partners.
