Uba Sani Makes Fresh Appointments into Key Sectors

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved a new round of appointments aimed at bringing innovative and resourceful professionals into key sectors of governance, as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s socio-economic and political development.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, listed the appointees across education, vocational training, media, agriculture, environment, and other strategic sectors.

Among the notable appointments are Dr. Suwaiba Shehu Ibrahim, mni, as Executive Chairman, Kaduna State Senior Secondary Schools Education Board; Hon. Nita Byack George, Hon. Monday Tela Bako, Hon. Aliyu Haruna Ahmed, and Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim as Permanent Members of the Board; and Barr. Muhammad Kabir Uthman as Secretary.

At the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Hon. Phoebe Sukai Yayi was appointed Deputy Provost, Samarun Kataf Campus, while Engr. Muhammad Sulaiman will serve as Deputy Provost, Soba Campus, and Barr. Abdullahi Kabir as Registrar.

In the media sector, Mallam El-Said Yakubu Lere was named Board Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), with Zakari Aliyu appointed as Executive Director. Similarly, Hon. Gambo Mathew Bulus will chair the Kaduna State Agricultural Development Agency (KADA), while Mal. Lawal Usman becomes Chairman of the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KSSLB).

Other key appointments include Hon. Suleiman Ibrahim as General Manager, Kaduna State Environmental Protection Agency (KEPA); Usman Umar as Executive Director (Corporate Services), Kaduna Mining Development Company Ltd; and Barr. Abdulrauf Atiku as Special Adviser (Legal Matters).

Additional advisers and assistants were appointed in the areas of vocational training, citizenship and leadership, emergency management, humanitarian affairs, job creation, industrial training, stakeholder relations, and special duties.

Governor Uba Sani congratulated the new appointees and urged them to view their appointments as a call to service.

He charged them to discharge their duties with commitment, fairness, and humility, assuring them of his administration’s support in promoting good governance and sustainable development in Kaduna State.
