Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, on Friday performed the groundbreaking of Kaima Smart City in Pmape, Kagarko Local Government Area.
Valued at over $700 million, the project is designed as a major economic, cultural, and commercial gateway.
The Governor described the initiative as transformative, promoting sustainable urban development.
Moreover, Kaima Smart City reflects increasing investor confidence inspired by Kaduna’s bold reforms, which earned the state second place in the 2025 Subnational Ease of Doing Business ranking.

Moving ahead, the project complements ongoing housing programs, including the Qatar Sanabil Housing Project and Renewed Hope Housing Programme, delivering affordable homes to thousands of citizens.
By integrating smart technologies, commerce, tourism, and residential facilities, Kaima Smart City strengthens Kaduna’s long-term vision for modern, inclusive urban living.
Governor Sani emphasised the project’s potential to raise living standards, unlock economic opportunities, and ensure shared prosperity for all residents of Kaduna State.
He added that the project will attract private sector investment, generate sustainable revenue, and enhance Kaduna State’s position as a regional economic hub.
