The Uba Sani‑led government of Kaduna State has extended heartfelt Ramadan greetings to the Muslim Ummah in the state, across Nigeria, and around the world as the holy month of fasting begins.

In his message, Governor Sani called on citizens to embrace reflection, compassion, charity, and peaceful coexistence, describing Ramadan as a time to deepen devotion, uphold shared humanity, and strengthen community bonds.

As part of marking both Ramadan and the concurrent Lenten season, the governor approved the release of more than 90 inmates convicted of minor offences, replacing fines and settling compensation on their behalf to grant them a fresh start.

The gesture aims to promote reconciliation, uphold the moral values of mercy and forgiveness symbolised by the fasting periods, and encourage beneficiaries to lead lives of integrity and obey the law.

Governor Sani also prayed for strength, serenity, and abundant blessings for Muslims observing the fast, urging residents to share resources with the vulnerable and support one another during the sacred month.

He called on all citizens, irrespective of faith, to continue praying for peace, harmony, and unity, affirming that Kaduna’s diversity remains a source of strength and that collective effort is essential to sustaining social cohesion.

The governor’s message reflects a broader appeal across Nigeria for peaceful coexistence and solidarity as Muslims begin their spiritual journey of fasting during Ramadan.
