Money Laundering: 16 Arrested in Turkey

Turkish authorities arrested 16 adult content creators and seized 300 million lira $6.9 million in assets including properties and vehicles during a money laundering crackdown.

Prosecutors allege the suspects laundered illegal earnings from OnlyFans, a platform currently banned in Turkey for violating “public morality.”

The raids, centered in Istanbul and Ankara, targeted 25 individuals accused of using social media and Telegram to bypass national blocks.

16 detained out of 25 suspects,5 believed to be abroad. 2 companies, 10 properties, and 14 vehicles were seized while Laundering proceeds from “obscene” content through various investments.

OnlyFans has been officially blocked in Turkey since June 2023.
