Tinubu Urges Peaceful Conduct in FCT, Kano and Rivers Elections

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged voters and officials to act responsibly during Saturday’s elections.

Polls will hold in the FCT area councils and selected constituencies in Kano and Rivers states.

The President asked eligible voters to come out and vote without fear or intimidation.

He appealed to political parties and supporters to avoid violence and inflammatory statements.

Tinubu warned security agencies against any actions that could discourage or block voters.

He stressed that officers must protect lives, property, and the ballot.

The President also urged Independent National Electoral Commission to strengthen public confidence in the process.

He called for timely accreditation, smooth voting, and accurate collation of results.

Tinubu said prompt transmission of results must follow provisions of the 2026 Electoral Act.

He assured Nigerians of continued federal support for free and fair elections.

The President expressed confidence that the polls will reflect the people’s will.

He added that peaceful conduct will further strengthen Nigeria’s democratic journey.
