Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa and three others have been released on bail by the Department of State Services in Kano State.
The release followed their detention over a petition linked to alleged cybercrime, intimidation, and defamation.
Those released alongside him include Salisu Yahaya Hotoro, Ibrahim Adam, and Hon. Nuhu Dambazau.
They were reportedly invited and held by the DSS for about four hours.

The petition was filed by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
It concerns allegations relating to online conduct and character claims.
All four individuals were granted bail on self-recognition.
They were released shortly after initial questioning by the DSS.
Kwankwaso is expected to take the matter to court.
Legal proceedings may determine the outcome of the allegations.
