Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has strengthened its airport operations with new ground support equipment across its Nigerian stations.

The company said the acquisition aims to improve efficiency, reliability, and aircraft turnaround time.

SAHCO acquired a Goldhofer F300 pushback tractor.

The F300 runs on a powerful diesel engine.

It pushes aircraft away from gates before taxiing for takeoff.

The tractor can service most wide-body aircraft.

It is built with rugged materials suited to local airport conditions.

SAHCO has deployed the unit to one of its hub stations.

Officials said the equipment will improve operational efficiency.

SAHCO also acquired five Ground Power Units.

The GPUs are manufactured by Guinault, a French aviation equipment firm.

Each unit has a 45kVA capacity.

They provide 115 volts AC and 28VDC power supply.

The GPUs operate on fuel-efficient gasoline engines.

Ground Power Units supply electricity to parked aircraft.

They allow aircraft systems to function without running onboard engines.

The new equipment increases SAHCO’s ability to handle wide-body aircraft.

SAHCO said the investment supports its broader strategy.

The company aims to enhance service quality across Nigerian airports.

Officials said modern equipment improves safety and operational standards.
