Phyna, winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, has addressed the viral video of her involvement in a heated fight at a hotel in Abuja. In a social media post, she forcefully denied being the one beaten, insisting instead that her adversary is hospitalized.

The incident, said to have unfolded on a Tuesday morning, reportedly began with a ₦200,000 financial dispute inside Phyna’s hotel room. The disagreement soon escalated, spilling into the hotel lobby, where bystanders and associates joined in, turning the disagreement into a public altercation.
Reacting to the online videos and rumors, Phyna took to Instagram to set the record straight in her trademark pidgin English voice. “Who I beat dey hospital,” she wrote, claiming that she was ambushed and that videos had been cut and twisted to distort the truth.
She added: “I was attacked from behind on my way out. Dem even crop the video just to twist story say dem beat me. Make una rest! … The girl wey I beat never even regain consciousness. Una dey mad! Pray for me make who I beat no die abeg.”
Phyna’s post frames her not as the aggressor but as the one who was set up, urging skeptics to “rest” and warning against misrepresentation. Whether the truth lies in video edits or actual blows landed, the incident has stirred up debate around celebrity grudges, public image, and the blurred line between fact and social media narrative.
