The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected reports announcing the dissolution of its State Executive Committees in Ogun State, Ekiti State and Ondo State.

In a statement issued on March 14, the party described the purported dissolution as illegal and unwarranted.

According to the statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, the announcement contradicts ongoing reconciliation efforts within the party.

He said the move attempts to deepen divisions at both the state and national levels.

“The dissolution is null, void and of no effect whatsoever,” the statement said.

The PDP urged its state chapters, local government executives and ward officials to disregard the notice.

The party also asked members to continue carrying out their lawful duties within their respective structures.

The statement added that the party remains committed to reconciliation and unity as it prepares for upcoming elections.

According to the PDP, the current peace efforts aim to strengthen the party and ensure its stability ahead of future political contests.
