Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has not officially declared his intention to run for Gombe State Governor, but political observers say his recent activities point to that.

Supporters and youth groups are already mobilizing, showing growing momentum for Pantami as the likely successor to the current Governor, Inuwa Yahaya.

In Nigeria, many high-profile politicians delay official announcements to avoid early political attacks. By letting support groups lead, they can test public support while remaining low-key. Pantami’s case in Gombe appears to follow this strategy.

Political analysts note that the state’s political scene is increasingly influenced by his supporters, who see him as the natural choice to continue the current administration’s policies.
