Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has received a high-level security briefing following recent attacks in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The briefing came from the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Eyitayo Folusho Oyinlola.
The GOC visited Bauchi State on the directive of the Chief of Defence Staff.

Troops have expanded clearance missions and increased surveillance in key areas. They have also strengthened cooperation with other security agencies.
Intelligence Operations Target Criminal Hideouts
The GOC said intelligence-driven operations are ongoing. Troops are working to dismantle criminal camps and block the movement of armed groups.
He added that the Army has deployed more personnel and logistics support to Alkaleri and nearby communities.
Major General Oyinlola stressed that the Army remains committed to protecting lives and property. He assured residents that bandits will find no safe haven.
