Former Senate President, David Mark, has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) remains a united political party with no internal factions.
Mark made the statement during the #SaveDemocracy movement rally held in Abuja, where he addressed supporters and party members amid ongoing concerns over party leadership recognition.
He firmly rejected claims of division within the ADC, stressing that the party is “one and indivisible.” According to him, any suggestion of fictionalization is misleading and should not be entertained by relevant authorities.
The former Senate President called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to officially recognise the legitimate leadership of the party and avoid actions that could undermine democratic stability.
Mark also urged the electoral body to “revert and save democracy,” warning against moves that could destabilise Nigeria’s political system. He emphasized that political institutions must act in ways that strengthen, rather than weaken, democratic processes.
The rally drew attention to growing tensions surrounding party administration, with ADC supporters using the platform to demand fairness and adherence to democratic principles.
Mark concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to unity and democratic values, insisting that ADC remains a strong and cohesive political force.
