NNPC Reports Growth in Gas Output, Revenue Hits ₦2.68 Trillion

NNPC Limited has reported increased gas production and revenue in its February 2026 Monthly Report Summary.

The company recorded crude oil and condensate production of 1.51 million barrels per day.

At the same time, natural gas output rose to 7,458 million standard cubic feet per day.

This represents a 2.40 percent increase in gas production compared to January 2026.

The figures highlight continued progress in Nigeria’s energy sector.

NNPC reported revenue of ₦2.68 trillion for the month.

This marks a 4.24 percent increase from the previous month.

Profit after tax stood at ₦136 billion, reflecting improved operational performance.

Meanwhile, the company highlighted ongoing work on key gas infrastructure projects.

Construction and installation activities on the Ajaokuta Kaduna Kano Gas Pipeline continued during the period.

Drilling operations also progressed on the Obiafu Obrikom Oben Gas Pipeline River Niger crossing.

NNPC said these projects are critical to expanding gas supply and strengthening energy security.

The company noted that collaboration with stakeholders remains central to project delivery.

The latest report underscores Nigeria’s push to leverage gas resources for economic growth.

NNPC said it will continue to drive production, infrastructure development, and revenue generation.
