Mal. Tijjani Yusuf Guruntun of Bauchi State has called on Nigerians to become more politically conscious and socially active as the country approaches the 2027 general elections. Speaking during his taalim in Bauchi, Yusuf warned citizens against exchanging their democratic rights for short-term tokens or temporary solutions offered by politicians.

He emphasized that for too long, Nigerian politicians have relied on money to influence voters, perpetuating a perception, especially in the North, that citizens are easily swayed if offered financial incentives. “Our elections are vital to the nation’s future. We must rise above money politics and choose candidates based on merit rather than personal interest,” Yusuf stressed.

The respected leader encouraged Nigerians to engage meaningfully in the political process, prioritize informed decision-making, and safeguard the integrity of elections for the nation’s benefit.
