The Nigerian Army has released the list of successful candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026, directing them to report for officer cadet training on March 27, 2026.

According to an official statement signed by the Military Secretary of the Army, the selected candidates are expected to report to the Officer Cadet Training Wing of the Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji, Kaduna State.

The announcement was made through the Army’s official communication channels, confirming that the final list of successful candidates is available on the Army’s recruitment portal.

“The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public that the successful candidates for Direct Short Service Commission 29/2026 Selection Board are to report for officer cadet training at the Officer Cadet Training Wing in Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji, Kaduna State on Friday, 27 March 2026,” the statement said.

  • Plain white vests and royal-blue shorts (multiple sets)
  • White canvas trainers and tracksuits
  • Shirts, trousers and socks

Instructions for serving military personnel

Serving military personnel who were successful in the selection process must report with official release letters and passes from their commanders or commanding officers.

The Nigerian Army warned that candidates who fail to report on the scheduled date will automatically forfeit their slots to those on the reserve list.

However, reserve candidates are not required to report to the training venue unless contacted.

“There will be no vacancy for reserve candidates after April 20, 2026,” the Army added.

The Direct Short Service Commission programme is one of the Nigerian Army’s recruitment pathways for graduates and professionals, particularly in specialised fields required to strengthen the military’s operational and technical capacity.
