Speaking at the launch, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, represented by Laila Barau, wife of the Deputy Senate President, said the initiative signals renewed commitment to building a safer and more inclusive society.
The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, described the plan as a major milestone that places women, children and vulnerable groups at the centre of Nigeria’s peace and security architecture, and called for collective responsibility in its implementation.
As part of the rollout, a National Technical Working Committee was inaugurated to oversee implementation and ensure the localisation of the plan across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
