Rapper Nicki Minaj may lose her luxurious Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles, valued at around $20 million after failing to pay a court-ordered judgment tied to her husband’s alleged assault. According to court filings, a jury in 2019 awarded $503,318 in damages to former security chief Thomas Weidenmüller, who claimed Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, assaulted him backstage during her “Nicki Wrld Tour” in Germany. The guard says the incident left him with a jaw injury requiring multiple surgeries.

Because neither Minaj nor Petty responded to the lawsuit in 2024, a default judgment was entered against them. Now, Weidenmüller’s legal team is pushing to seize and sell the property to recoup the payment. The mansion carries a $13 million mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption, which still leaves about $6 million in equity, more than enough to cover the judgment plus interest and costs, according to the court documents.

Minaj has an estimated net worth of $150–190 million, and critics argue she could readily satisfy the debt. To date, neither she nor Petty has publicly responded to the proceedings, which add to a string of controversies the rapper has faced this year, including renewed tension with fellow artist Cardi B.
