A tragic incident has shaken Gombe as a young businessman, Abdul’aziz Aliyu, popularly known as Dan Malam, was stabbed to death after a disagreement with one of his shop boys.
The incident happened on Saturday evening after a small argument broke out between the late Abdul’aziz and one of his shop boys.
Reports say the trouble started when Abdul’aziz accused the boy and other workers in his shop of stealing from him. Angry over the accusation, he asked them to leave his shop and stopped them from working for him.
During the argument, witnesses said the boys became rude and disrespectful. When Abdul’aziz tried to beat one of them, the boy pulled out a knife and stabbed him.
Abdul’aziz was badly injured and was quickly taken to the hospital to save his life. Sadly, he did not survive.
The heartbreaking part is that Dan Malam got married only a few days earlier, on 26 December 2025. His sudden death has thrown his family, friends, and the entire community into deep sorrow.
His funeral prayer will be held today, Sunday, by 11:00am at the Bolari Juma’at Mosque in Gombe.
So far, security agencies and government authorities have not released an official statement about the incident.
