The National Emergency Management Agency has deployed a response team to assess the impact of a bandit attack in Kwara communities.
Specifically, the attack affected Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area, prompting immediate federal emergency intervention efforts.
Accordingly, NEMA Director-General Zubaida Umar directed the Minna Operations Office team to relocate temporarily to affected communities.
The deployed team is conducting detailed assessments to determine damage levels, humanitarian needs, and appropriate intervention strategies for victims.

Meanwhile, NEMA is collaborating closely with the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency and relevant security agencies for coordinated response efforts.
In addition, the Agency has positioned relief materials, including food and non-food items, to support displaced and affected residents.
Furthermore, the Director-General expressed heartfelt sympathy to affected communities and the Kwara State Government over the tragic incident.
She assured residents of NEMA’s full support and commitment to restoring safety, stability, and humanitarian relief in impacted areas.
