NDPC Honours Data Privacy Champions at Awards Night

The climax of National Privacy Week 2026 was marked by a Dinner and Awards Night in Abuja.

The event was organised by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

It was held at the Transcorp Centre with public and private sector partners in attendance.

The NDPC National Commissioner, Vincent Olatunji, led staff and stakeholders to the ceremony.

His Royal Majesty, Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, received the Data Privacy Royal Ambassador Award.

The National Youth Service Corps was named Most Compliant Public Sector Institution.

Zenith Bank won the award for Most Compliant Private Sector Organisation.

The President of DKPPI, Tokunbo Smith, was also honoured for advancing data protection efforts.

Organisers said the awards promote responsible data handling and strengthen digital trust in Nigeria.
