Vincent Olatunji led NDPC officials on a working visit to the Ministry of Education.
They met with Tunji Alausa and Minister of State Suwaiba Said Ahmad.
Dr Olatunji thanked the ministers for the warm reception and support.
He stressed that data protection is vital in a growing digital economy.
He linked privacy reforms to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The NDPC boss said compliance in the education sector remains very low.
He outlined NDPC awareness projects targeting schools and students nationwide.
These include Digital Privacy Awareness Campaigns and Data Privacy Clubs in universities.
He also cited the Secondary School Data Challenge initiative.
About 8,000 students were reached during National Privacy Week programmes.
Dr Olatunji urged the ministry to enforce stronger data protection standards.
In response, Dr Alausa praised NDPC’s efforts and leadership.
He said data protection has been neglected for too long.
The minister noted Nigeria’s goal to train 50 million digitally skilled citizens.
He stressed that privacy education must be part of digital literacy.
He assured NDPC of stronger compliance within the education sector.
NDPC offered free induction training for ministry staff.
It also proposed Virtual Privacy Academy vouchers and certification support.
Both sides formed a joint working group to implement agreed steps.
The partnership aims to protect student data and build trust in digital education.
