Popular entertainer and media personality, Muhammad Adam Ashraf, widely known as MC Ashraf, has called for stronger unity and collaboration among entrepreneurs in Northern Nigeria.

Speaking as a guest on S24 Insight, MC Ashraf reflected on his journey through the digital and media space, describing it as one marked by persistence, growth, and resilience. He recounted how his career began during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) days at Al-Qalam University, where he started as a photographer and cinematographer before later transitioning into mc and entertainment.

According to him, the early stages of his career were filled with challenges, including rejection and a lack of belief from others. He noted that many aspiring entrepreneurs often face skepticism at the beginning of their journey, only to receive recognition and support after achieving success.

“People may not believe in you when you start, but once you succeed, they will come around to celebrate you,” he said, emphasizing the importance of perseverance.

MC Ashraf urged young entrepreneurs not to be discouraged by initial setbacks, stressing that success takes time. “Rome was not built in a day,” he added, encouraging consistency and patience in building a career.

He also called on parents to support their children’s ambitions, particularly those pursuing careers in the entertainment industry, noting that such paths can lead to meaningful success if properly nurtured.

Highlighting broader industry development, MC Ashraf commended the role of Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, in promoting creative initiatives. He specifically referenced efforts to support platforms like the “Made in the North” festival, which aims to showcase and empower northern talents.

He concluded by reiterating the need for unity among northern entrepreneurs, stressing that collaboration remains key to driving growth and creating more opportunities in the region’s creative and business sectors.
