Ademola Lookman has been handed jersey number 22 after completing a €40 million move from Atalanta to Atletico Madrid.
The Nigerian forward signed a four-year deal reportedly worth €7 million per season.
Lookman marked his departure from Atalanta with an emotional farewell, reflecting on his three-and-a-half years at the club.
He scored 55 goals and recorded 27 assists in 137 appearances.
His standout moment came in the 2024 Europa League final, where he scored a hat-trick to secure Atalanta’s first European title.
He also won the 2024 African Footballer of the Year award while at the club.
The 28-year-old has resumed training with Atletico Madrid and could make his debut in either the Copa del Rey quarter-final or their upcoming La Liga fixture against Real Betis.
