The Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Command, has alerted residents to remain vigilant and report anyone with bullet wounds or suspicious behaviour to the nearest police station, as security agencies intensify operations against bandits in the state.

The alert follows an ongoing joint operation by the police and the military aimed at flushing out bandits and dismantling their criminal networks across Kogi State.

In a statement, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP William Aya, said the operation is being carried out with vigour, commitment, and professionalism, with support from the Nigeria Police Force Air Wing, whose precision airstrikes have contributed significantly to recent successes recorded.

CSP Aya emphasized that security is a collective responsibility, noting that sustained collaboration between citizens and security operatives is critical to restoring peace and making Nigeria safer.

Residents with useful information were urged to contact the Command’s Control Room via 07038329084 or 08152195982.
