The Katsina State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Charity Nigeria Foundation to strengthen cooperation in education, healthcare, empowerment, and social development across the state.
Governor Dikko Umar Radda, who signed the agreement on behalf of the state government, said the partnership represents a new phase of collaboration aimed at improving the welfare of women, children, youth, and other vulnerable groups.
Governor Radda commended Qatar Charity for its sustained support to the state, describing the partnership as a model for effective collaboration between governments and development organizations.
“As part of this renewed commitment, Qatar Charity has pledged to donate medical equipment, including electronic blood pressure machines for over 200 renovated Primary Health Centres and electric wheelchairs for 15 general hospitals across the state,” the governor said.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing the provisions of the MoU with transparency, accountability, and measurable impact, ensuring that all interventions reach the intended beneficiaries.
Governor Radda added that the initiative aligns with Katsina State’s Building Your Future development agenda, which focuses on human capital development, institutional strengthening, and inclusive growth.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Country Director of Qatar Charity Nigeria, Mr. Assem Abu Al Shaer, who pledged continued support for the state’s social and development programs.
