The Federal University of Kashere has become the epicenter of a powerful conversation on leadership and sustainable development. At a landmark conference organized by the Department of Arabic and Department of Islamic Studies in collaboration with NUSRET Educational and Cultural Company Ltd., Nigeria, scholars and students gathered to explore the timeless values of Prophetic leadership.
Declaring the event open, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University, urged Nigeria to embrace value-based leadership rooted in the Prophetic model. He emphasized that principles such as integrity, justice, compassion, accountability, and service to humanity are essential for addressing Nigeria’s governance challenges.
Professor Yauta, who chaired the conference, stressed that sustainable development is impossible without moral leadership anchored on ethical responsibility. He called on participants to critically examine Nigeria’s leadership deficiencies and draw lessons from the Prophetic example to guide modern governance.
The conference attracted academics, scholars, and students from across Nigeria, featuring thought-provoking presentations on how Prophetic leadership principles can be applied to today’s social, political, and economic realities.
Nigeria’s path to sustainable development lies in ethical, value-driven leadership inspired by the Prophetic model.
