The Kano State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) has cautioned individuals and groups against interfering in the posting and redeployment of clinical and non-clinical staff across state-owned hospitals.

In a statement signed by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Samira Suleiman, the agency said staff deployment decisions are based strictly on service requirements, equitable personnel distribution, and the need to ensure uninterrupted delivery of quality healthcare services across the state.

The Board stressed that postings are guided by professional assessments of manpower needs and not influenced by sentiment or personal interests.

“It is important to emphasize that effective medical service delivery depends on the availability of skilled and motivated personnel, including doctors, nurses, midwives, laboratory scientists, pharmacists, and administrative staff,” the statement read.

It added that equitable posting ensures no facility is either under- or overstaffed, guaranteeing that all communities have access to timely and quality healthcare.

Under the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Board said the state government is intensifying reforms to revive healthcare facilities through infrastructure upgrades, provision of essential equipment, and strategic deployment of professionals.

The HMB called for the cooperation of all stakeholders — including staff, community leaders, and the public — to support the state’s efforts toward building a balanced and sustainable healthcare system.
