It emphasised that the college remains under the authority of the Federal Ministry of Education Nigeria.

According to the statement, decisions regarding Federal Government College Kano fall exclusively within the jurisdiction of the Federal Government.

The Kano State Government said any claims suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.

The government also cautioned against attempts to associate Abba Kabir Yusuf or his administration with the alleged deal.

It urged media organisations to prioritise accuracy, fairness, and responsible reporting.

Reaffirming its stance, the government said it remains committed to transparency, the rule of law, and protecting public interest.
