Kaduna Customs Records 35% Revenue Growth

The Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded a 35 percent increase in revenue generation in the fourth quarter of 2025, raking in ₦14.68 billion compared to ₦10.86 billion in the same period of 2024.

The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, disclosed this during a press briefing at the Command’s headquarters in Kabala Doki, Kaduna State.

According to him, the Command generated a total of ₦14,686,256,270 between October and December 2025, representing an increase of ₦3.82 billion over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Comptroller Hassan attributed the improved performance to enhanced operational efficiency, strong leadership support from Customs headquarters, and intensified intelligence-driven monitoring activities.

“This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism and commitment of our officers and men in meeting and surpassing assigned revenue targets while contributing to national economic growth,” he said.

He provided a breakdown of the monthly collections, stating that ₦5.16 billion was generated in October, ₦3.83 billion in November, while December recorded the highest figure with ₦5.68 billion.

The Customs boss reaffirmed that the Command remains focused on its core mandates of revenue generation, trade facilitation and protection of national economic interests.

He added that the Command would sustain the momentum through stronger stakeholder engagement, improved compliance enforcement and continuous collaboration with other security and regulatory agencies.

Comptroller Hassan also noted that the activities of the Monitoring and Compliance Team played a critical role in boosting revenue performance by strengthening intelligence gathering and curbing leakages.
