Journalists Injured In Bauchi Road Crash

Several journalists injured in Bauchi road crash while covering NEDC project handover. Victims from multiple media houses are receiving treatment at local hospitals as authorities monitor their condition.

Several journalists were injured on Friday while covering a project commissioning in Bauchi State.

The accident occurred along the Yashi Yelwan Duguri Road in Alkaleri Local Government Area, shortly after the delegation had commissioned a new secondary school.

Reporters and camera crew from multiple media houses  including Channels Television, African Independent Television, NTA, Arise Television, and others  sustained injuries of varying severity.

The injured journalists were first taken to Yelwan Duguri General Hospital before being transferred to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital and Bauchi Specialist Hospital for further treatment.

The media team was covering the handover of development projects by the North East Development Commission (NEDC), led by the Minister of State for Regional Development. Authorities and colleagues continue to monitor the condition of the injured as details remain limited.
