Uba Sani Represents Nigeria at 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit in Dubai

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has represented Nigeria at the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The summit, themed “Collaborate. Inspire. Transform.”, brought together over 150 mayors, governors, and more than 300 city leaders from across Asia, the Pacific, Europe, and Africa to deliberate on innovation, sustainability, and inclusive urban growth.

Governor Sani, who presented a paper titled “Building Partnerships for Shared Prosperity,” highlighted Kaduna State’s progress in urban renewal, agricultural transformation, and social protection initiatives.

He said the state’s development vision is anchored on expanding opportunities, protecting the vulnerable, and empowering citizens to thrive.

Speaking during a feature on Expo City Dubai’s flagship podcast, Sani discussed “Transforming Northern Nigeria: Leadership, Innovation and Social Impact,” where he emphasized the role of leadership and technology-driven governance in unlocking Nigeria’s development potential.

The Kaduna governor also held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Marwan Bin Galita, Director General of the Dubai Municipality.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in waste-to-energy innovation, sustainable waste management, and modern urban planning.

Governor Sani said Kaduna’s participation in the summit demonstrates the state’s readiness to engage globally, adopt innovation, and promote sustainable development that aligns with global best practices.
