The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, has been commended for his remarkable achievements in crime reduction and strategic leadership across the state.
The commendation came during a courtesy visit by the leadership of El’s Foundation, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), and the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) at the Command Headquarters in Kano.
The visit followed the completion of health check-ups and an awareness campaign on illicit drug abuse and crime prevention among women in Tarauni and Eastern Bypass Area Commands — initiatives aimed at curbing social vices and promoting community safety.

During the visit, Hajia Hadiza Ibrahim Bakori, Chairperson of POWA, expressed appreciation to the Police Commissioner and his management team for their consistent support toward the association’s community-centered activities.
In recognition of his leadership, the President of El’s Foundation, Mrs. Adesuwa O. Udo, presented a Certificate of Excellence to CP Bakori for his “outstanding success in crime reduction” and “dedication to public safety and security throughout Kano State.”
Responding, CP Bakori lauded the collaboration between security agencies and community groups, attributing the Command’s success to public cooperation, prayers, and mutual trust. “Without your understanding and partnership, we would not have achieved these milestones,” he said.
The visit concluded with a vote of thanks from Ambassador (Dr.) Ali Hassan Tudun Bayero, Chairman of the PCRC, who praised the Police Command for its sustained efforts in maintaining peace and order in Kano State.
