Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has donated an additional operational vehicle to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to strengthen aviation safety and security at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA).
The latest donation, presented on behalf of the governor at the airport, adds to a previous vehicle earlier given to the Authority. It is aimed at boosting FAAN’s operational capacity in safeguarding passengers, staff, and airport facilities in Kano and beyond.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance development and security across the state, noting that the state government remains ready to assist MAKIA in recognition of Kano’s strategic role as the commercial hub of Northern Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
Receiving the vehicle, a FAAN representative commended Governor Yusuf for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of his administration’s continued support for the aviation sector.
The Authority pledged to put the vehicle to effective use in improving service delivery and sustaining safety standards at the airport.
